"Now is the time for us to look to the future," Independent Wagga MP Dr Joe McGirr said.
"Never has there been such interest in the Wagga electorate.
"The reason: an Independent MP has the seat.
"The presence of my voice in the parliament has attracted unprecedented political visits and a bucket-load of promises, since my election in September.
"If re-elected on March 23, my priority will be to make sure that interest remains so that we grow our region responsibly.
"Growth is important to our future prosperity, but we must make sure this happens in a way that is safe, sustainable and right for us.
"To support the predicted population boom in our region, we need modern hospitals and schools, the right jobs for our young people, safe roads and affordable transport.
"We have unique opportunities with developments like the Bomen Industrial hub, Tumut Hospital, Snowy Hydro 2.0 and the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
"I will be pushing for future developments including the expansion of the CSU campus in Wagga, our softwoods industry at Tumut and renewable energy in Lockhart.
"Alongside the anticipated growth comes the need to ensure safety across the community.
"I will make sure safety concerns continue to be met with action.
"We need sufficient police numbers, drug treatment and rehabilitation facilities and a strong approach to crime prevention. This will involve not only the relevant government departments but also those affected by crime.
"As an Independent MP I will make sure the government listens to your concerns and delivers on its promises.
"Together we can build our future.
"Vote 1 Dr Joe McGirr MP on March 23."
