Riverina Police District Inspector Adrian Telfer said investigations had taken place.
"We had a fairly serious assault that was caught on footage at Mount Austin High School last month," he said.
"Thankfully last week, our police had a result in terms of that and we were able to deal with a young female who is also a student at that school.
"We will put an allegation before the children’s court … that an assault occurred."
Inspector Telfer said he thought it was a good result for the victim and her family.
"It was a terrible incident to see on footage and a terrible incident to hear of so I am happy in that regard that we have been able to put that before the court," he said.
The 15-year-old female will appear at a children's court next month.
