Ladex took on the $12 million job of providing the Riverina with its new state-of-the-art harness racing facility.
The Wagga company used local trades and supplies where ever possible during the 14-month project which ran from December 2017 to February 2019.
During that time more than 200,000 cubic metres of earth was moved, 70,000 tonnes of gravel was brought onto the site including 20,000 for the track itself.
More than 500 people were inducted to the site including sub contractors, officials, tradesmen and visitors.
Project manager Justin Milliner was receiving 40 to 50 phone calls a day during construction.
"I feel so proud of it," he said.
"It's a real accomplishment for the team and everyone who worked on the job."
While there was plenty happening above the ground there was also fibre-optic cables run to each of the stewards towers.
Roads leading into the facility were also managed by the team including 440 metres on Cooramin Street and widening Hampden Avenue for the turning lane.
Even the fall of the land was taken into account with all rainwater caught by the buildings of falling onto the carpark flowing into the dam on site.
This dam water is then pumped into the large tank and used to water the track and the lawns before any town water is needed.
