One of the students involved was left injured as a result of the fight.
Acting Superintendent Andrew Spliet said on Wednesday that police had spoken to the victim.
"Police have spoken to the victim in relation to that matter and that is still an ongoing investigation," he said.
A NSW Department of Education spokesperson said violence and aggressive behaviour were not tolerated at Mount Austin High School.
"The behaviour seen in the video is against the values of the students and the school community," the spokesperson said.
"As soon as the school was aware of the incident, it took immediate action to support the student who was injured.
"(The school) proceeded to investigate the incident and discipline the instigator.
"The school ensured that police were aware of the incident and continues to support their investigations and any action they see as appropriate."
