Albury trainer Ron Stubbs will not accept with Yousay Bolt and sent the mare to the paddock on Wednesday.
Yousay Bolt was a $26 chance in the TAB market for the $500,000 final at Randwick on April 6.
Stubbs made the difficult decision on Wednesday.
"I won't be accepting. She had a slight temperature and I'm not happy with her," he said.
"It's unfortunate because the timing couldn't be worse."
Stubbs will still have the one runner in the race, Lost Command, who will be ridden by Lachlan King.
Lost Command will be first up but Stubbs is comfortable with that.
"First up last campaign she ran second in Sydney," he said.
"So I'm comfortable going into the race first up. She's had two trials and I've been happy with both of those.
"It's a tough race but I'm happy with how she is."
Yousay Bolt's withdrawal guarantees the Andrew Dale-trained Arthur Porrit a start in the feature.
The Chris Heywood-trained Landmine is right on the cusp, needing one more horse rated above him to drop out to gain a start.
Heywood has booked talented Sydney apprentice jockey Chris Williams to ride Landmine, should he make the field.
Williams will head to Albury in form after riding a winner at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Stubbs hopes to have Yousay Bolt back for the Wagga carnival.
