The latest talent to impress guests at the festival is Pro BMX rider Cameron White, who will conduct three interactive rides with children at Tumbarumba Pump Track, finishing each with an electrifying trick on a three metre high ramp.
Event organiser Karly Finn said Cameron’s performance, as well as sharing his experiences of crashes and how to prevent injury, will be the first major event on the new track.
“The Tumbarumba Pump Track only opened in December last year so this will be the first big performance on it which is exciting,” she said.
The festival, sponsored by Bendigo Bank, will also have more entertainment for the whole family.
“We have quite a few different things people can look forward to this year, the main stage with all day entertainment will be a big draw card, with Darren Middleton headlining Saturday and Beck Marshal headlining Sunday,” Mrs Finn said.
“We have eight operators in the wine courtyard too who are all local proud and passionate wine makers, and then our new chef this year is renowned Indigenous chef Mark Olive who we can’t wait to work with.”
Mrs Finn said they’re hoping the event will be just as big as last year, if not bigger.
“We always aim to grow attendance each year, and the weather forecast is looking great with no rain and high twenties, so that’s promising,” she said.
Tumbafest, with over 60 market stalls to browse through, will be on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 February, with tickets available online or at the gate.
