After bowling out the Bulls for 142 last week, the Bulldogs resumed at 3-8 on Saturday.

Despite losing two quick wickets to slip to 5-28, a 82-run partnership between Todd Henderson and James Richards guided the wooden spooners out of trouble.

However when Todd Henderson (38) was removed by Tom Doig the Lake Albert quick then had Dylan Koop (0) sent packing with his next ball.

RSL still required 33 more runs for victory but one day hero Tim Cameron, who picked up 5-49, survived the hat-trick ball and then stayed with Richards (70 not out) to secure the club’s first win since round three in October.

Sam Perry was pleased to finally get another win on the board.

“Toddy Henderson and Jimmy Richards batted the best I’ve seen them all year,” Perry said.

“They knuckled down, knew they had to score the majority of the runs and thankfully they did.

“They worked out well.”

Despite the loss, with results going their way the Bulls still locked in a finals berth.

They are three points clear of both St Michaels and Kooringal Colts on the ladder.

Those two sides play each other in the final round of the season with a place in the finals up for grabs.
