David Druitt has tasted plenty of success in trials at the new Riverina Paceway and is out to go down in the history books as the first race winner at Wagga’s new track.

Druitt lines up stable newcomer Roylance in the opening race on Monday.
Bought with the new 1070-metre track in mind, Roylance won a trial on the track last week and the Brucedale trainer is hoping he’ll be on his best behaviour.
“He has the ability to win the first race,” Druitt said.
“He’s got a lot of ability, but has a few issues which is why I got the horse from Victoria.
“It’s just a matter of whether he puts it all together.”
Roylance overcome a midrace mistake to win his trial and Druitt was pleased with how he finished off.
He’s hoping the bigger track will make him more tractable around the turns but doesn’t expect barrier eight, the outside of the front row, to be a concern.
Druitt also lines up two-year-old Uwatchingme and Rocknroll Fever on the six-race card.
Only one of the nine two-year-old has race experience, but Druitt expects the daughter oh He’s Watching will need a little more time despite having five trials.
“The filly will probably need the run,” Druitt said.
“She had a fortnight off around Breeders Plate time as I thought I wasn’t quite as good as the other ones and she’s had one trial back and blew up a little bit.
“She probably needs a run or two but we will end up getting one (win), but it might not be this week.”
Rocknroll Fever is unplaced in five career starts, but barrier one should help her to be more competitive in the Rambler Welding Pace (1740m).
“She’s one of those one where there is very little upstairs but has a good turn of foot,” Druitt said.
“On her best behaviour she will be very competitive, on her worse behaviour I will be back at trials.”
