Coordinator Anna Demasi said the market at Wagga Showgrounds had made a “fantastic” start to the year.
“Everyone was happy, vendors were happy and a lot of them sold out, so that was amazing for them,” she said.
“Fashion was really happy, and everyone loved the live music.”
Ms Demasi said the markets future plans involved getting more retail vendors on board and apply to let market customers sample the region’s beer and wine.
“The more people know about it, the more that section will hopefully grow,” she said.
“We are depending on the Liquor Licence people, but we should be getting beer and wine for the next market so people can sit and have some drinks as well.”
The first Foodies Night Market of the year also featured jumping castles and rides in giant inflatable pool balls for younger visitors.
Ms Demasi said most of Friday night’s crowd was from the region but the market had been promoting itself to tourists as well.
Starting from March, the Wagga Foodies Night Market will run on the last Friday of each month.
