Saints will resume at 4-17 chasing Wagga City's 272 with Forsyth and Nick Fahey both yet to get off the mark.
Forsyth to help build momentum heading into the final round of the season and doesn't believe it's all doom and gloom.
"There are lots of positives to come out of last Saturday," Forsyth said.
"We bowled really well but we just put down a lot of chances in the field and had them 5-90 at one point.
"We take a few positives out of Saturday even though we are 4-17 and we just have to bat the 80 overs.
"If we bat 80 overs we give ourselves a chance."
Saints moved into the top four last week on percentage and tackle fifth placed Kooringal next week.
He believes Saturday's clash is crucial to ensuring they don't get behind in percentage with Colts looking to defend 165 against South Wagga.
