The operation will commence at midnight February 14 and will conclude on Sunday evening, February 17.
Wagga Police Inspector Peter McLay said this operation will see more police out to "reduce road trauma".
"More police out and about conducting Random Breath Testing and drug and alcohol affected drivers, fatigue related crashes and non-wearing of seat belts," Inspector McLay said.
"We'll have a large contingent locally and throughout the district conducting RBT until Sunday evening."
Inspector McLay said the region has been doing "OK" however there is still important work that is needed to be done.
"The number of serious crashes have been down somewhat but we know if someone takes their eyes off, this can quickly change," he said.
"There will be lots of extra police out to ensure our roads remain safe and fatality free."
Police will be covering all areas and roads for the operation, as well as conducting stationary and mobile random breath testing.
"No particular road will be exempt and there will be rural police out in those areas and some on the back roads that people tend to utilise after they have been at a licenced premises," Inspector McLay said.
