After his first performance in the city last year, Wayne is back to wow the crowd again, this time at Wagga Commercial Club this weekend.
The Country Performer of the Year is bringing a fresh flair in 2019, performing his own show normally seen in Sydney and even internationally, instead of the joint show last year with The Howie Brothers.
Wayne said he is a regular to the town socially, but is excited to perform his second ever show in the city.
“I can’t wait to perform because I will know most of the people in the crowd from my visits – I always love to come to Wagga and catch up with people and have a chat,” he said.
“They love their country music in Wagga and I love getting among it so it’s a great time for everyone.”
Guests can expect to hear some country classics as well as fresh content from Wayne’s latest album.
“Because I’m country and western singer I do a lot of popular country songs and the old cowboy western type of songs, and I’m well known for yodelling so that’s great to do something different,” he said.
“My latest CD is called Country Songs and Western Swing, so I’ll be doing a few of the favourites from that on the night as it wasn’t released yet for my first concert in Wagga, and then some yodelling numbers too.”
It won’t be the last time Wagga get’s to enjoy Wayne’s talent either.
“I definitely intend on coming back to perform, hopefully sometime during the year again but definitely next year,” he said.
“I always love coming to Wagga, and can’t wait to be back.”
- Wayne Horsburgh
The show will be held on Sunday Feb 17 starting at 2pm, run by the Wagga Country Music Club with tickets sold at the door.
