We are fortunate enough that we are able to tell inspiring, heartwarming stories on a daily basis and the tale of how Dr Robert Byrne met his sister is one of those examples.
It’s a story that would be all-too-familiar in his mother’s era.
A young girl gets pregnant and is forced to give up the child, with no knowledge of what happens to that child later in life.
But Dr Byrne had knowledge that his mother had put a child up for adoption and it was an at-home DNA testing kit that allowed him to find her 80-something years later.
The photos of the reunion are heartwarming and we wish Dr Byrne and his new-found sister all the best.
The wet weather from Friday night seems to have cleared, meaning plenty of junior sport teams will be out and about this weekend, hopefully.
What makes common sense is now becoming a regulation as play can be suspended if the mercury climbs over 32 degrees.
It is disruptive to multiple competitions but it is worth it for the safety of the children.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Regards,
Nicole Barlow
