The equalisation scheme was part of the five-year plan introduced earlier this year, but no firm plans have been made as of yet.
The board meets next month and it could be on the agenda then, but at this stage there has been a big focus on the introduction of the pre-season nines tournament next month.
Operations manager Bob Hay said no proposal or time frame for implementation had been discussed.
“We haven’t had a chance to discuss anything with clubs yet as we don’t have a clubs meeting until March,” Hay said.
“It is stuff that has to be discussed at club level as it is something where there is a majority agreement from clubs.
“It hasn’t been discussed yet with the new board busily getting their heads around managing the nines and organising some sponsors.”
Junee president Simon Vanzanten is looking for a player points system, with a transfer fee for players switching Group Nine clubs to be brought in sooner rather than later after calling out clubs approaching their players.
However an attempt to introduce a system was previously thwarted by the clubs.
Hay believes it would be a benefit for clubs, but coming up with something they all agree to has been an issue in the past.
“I thought it was a good thing last time but I guess it depends on where you sit, he said.
“Finding something that works for small clubs and big clubs alike is the hard task.”
He’s unsure when a move will be introduced.
“It was put in the strategic plan and it may not even be discussed this year,” Hay said.
