Though the forecast may change between 30mm and 80mm is expected to fall during the daylight hours on Friday.
“Our advice is that people move cars under cover,” said an SES spokesperson.
“Away from trees and power lines is where you want to be, because debris like branches can fall and that ends very badly.”

Although there is currently no forecast for damaging winds, the SES advises it is “good practice to secure anything in your backyard that could fly away and cause damage.”
That includes, but is not limited to above ground pools and trampolines.
With several days to go before the wild weather hits, the SES is also calling on homeowners to check their roofs.
“Fix any damage to roof tiles before the storm comes, because that’s where water can come in a cause problems inside the home,” said the spokesperson.
If the falls do tip into the higher millimetres, parts of Wagga may experience flash flooding. With that said, the SES recommends having a contingency plan in place ahead of time.
“Include your pets in any emergency plans. What will you do if you need to get yourselves and them out quickly?”
“Also keep a record of their vaccinations with you in case it’s needed.”
During an emergency the SES is available and can be called on 132 500.
