The Wagga-born star has accrued many accolades over her career, being put on the world’s stage to be judged by professionals and the public, but now it’s her turn to decide if others have what it takes.
Sharna Burgess will be on the judging panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood and Tristan MacManus for the latest season of Dancing with the Stars, sharing her excitement with Twitter followers.
“I can finally scream this from the mountain tops!! I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be a part of #DwtsAustralia . My heart is so happy and so grateful, and so are my family,” the star wrote on Twitter.
The dancing queen isn’t the only star to make Wagga proud on the television show.
Jarryd Byrne grew up in Wagga and has gone on to compete in many seasons of Dancing with the Stars, returning this year with celebrity partner Olympia Valance.
The new season will premiere on February 18 at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
