Organisers of the 2019 Wagga Food and Wine Festival are giving charity groups the chance to benefit from the event.

Since the festival began in 2002, more than $300,000 has been donated to Wagga community groups.
In 2017, the Wollundry Rotary Club, which organises the festival, donated $40,000 to the Riverina Cancer Care Centre.
More than 7000 people are expected at 2019 event in the Victory Memorial Gardens on March 23.

Community groups interested in applying to receive part of the proceeds need to send a submission, by 5pm on January 31, to the Wollundry Rotary Club secretary Paul Milde at PO Box 229 Wagga, NSW 2650, or emailed to milde@iinet.net.au.

Submissions should include a brief summary of the organisation, an explanation of how proceeds will be spent, and what assistance the organisation can offer Wollundry Rotary Club on the day of the festival.
