The Hall of Fame trainer was represented by five horses at Wagga and finished with two winners and one placing on the eight-race card.
Mutadaawel ($1.90), a half brother to group one-placed sprinter Faatinah, took out the XXXX Gold Maiden Handicap (1000m) at his third race start.
“He’d had a couple of nice trials at home so we expected a forward showing,” stable representative Russell Treloar said.
“He has always shown us good ability and a nice gear change of getting gelded has helped. Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards from here.”
Whiskey Queen ($1.40) then dug deep to score narrowly in the Book Your Wedding At The MTC Maiden Plate (1300m).
She won a two-horse war with Eurosay ($6.50) in the straight.
Apprentice jockey Lewis German rode both to victory.
