Ten-year-old Wagga boy Nicholas Hutchings said he’d been coming to the library with his mates all holidays.
“It’s too hot to play outside so we’ve been coming here a bit to borrow some books and play the video games and stuff, it’s fun,” he said.
Manager of library services, Claire Campbell, said they had been busy amidst the severe heat.
“Lots of families are coming through, especially downstairs in the kids’ section, to escape the hot weather,” she said.
“It’s a great place to come for those who don’t have great air con at home, or when the kids go stir-crazy because it’s too hot to play outside.”
