Ms Mather lost her trademark locks to help raise money for the Best Friends Pet Rescue group.
The children at Kooringal Out of School Hours Care, where Ms Mather works, cheered as her plait was cut off and the clippers applied.

As well as raising money, Ms Mather has been collecting donations of food for the Wagga animal rescue group.
In the lead-up to Christmas, Best Friends Pet Rescue was kept busy with animals needing a new home.
While the group’s treasurer Dimi Crebbin has pleaded for people to have their pets desexed, Ms Mather has been trying to help.
“I love animals and I just wanted to help them," she said.
