After two wickets in her Women’s Big Bash debut last week, Trenaman bowled Amy Satterthwaite (18) in her second over.
She finished with 1-15 off two overs.
Yenda’s Alex Blackwell then hit a six to see the Thunder home in the last over.
She finished unbeaten on 66 as the Sydney side chased down the Renegades total of 4-139 with five balls to spare.
The six-wicket victory moves the Thunder to the top of the table, one point clear of Sydney Sixers.
They now head to Cairns to tackle Brisbane Heat on Saturday for their last clash before the finals start.
