Wagga City Council is in for a round of laughs as local comedian Dane Simpson will be representing the city and kicking off Wagga’s Australia Day celebrations. 

Singer and actor Darren Coggan will be doing the city proud as he heads east to be the ambassador for Kiama Municipal Council and grace the stage of Gerringong Town Hall to address the locals. 

Esteemed fashion designer Charlie Brown will be bringing her bold flair to Narrandera Shire Council as their Australia Day ambassador, shedding a fresh light on the country town. 

Junee-raised commentator Mark Warren will be representing his home town as ambassador for Junee Shire Council, bringing his refined voice to the day’s address. 

Temora Shire Council will be represented by founder of Mate Helping a Mate, John Harper, who was a nominee for Australian of the Year in 2009 after his devotion to the mental health movement. 

The Cootamundra Gundagai Regional Council is set for two names ready to inspire the Australia Day crowds, with multicultural community leader Dr Stepan Kerkyasharian AO addressing Cootamundra, and endurance swimmer James Pittar the ambassador for Gundagai. 

Former cricket player and founder of the Kindness Factory Kath Koschel will be representing Coolamon Shire Council for this year’s celebrations to motivate the community to spread good deeds in the year ahead. 

Drifting into Greater Hume Shire Council’s ambassadorial role, Australian sailing coach Victor Kovalenko OAM will bring his leadership experience to the locality's Australia Day event.

London 2012 Olympian Ed Fernon is one of three ambassadors for Hilltops Council, heading to Harden to talk to residents.

Completing the Riverina’s list of 2019 Australian Ambassadors is scientist and inventor Ethan Butson, who was a finalist in the 2015 NSW Young Australian of the Year awards, and will represent Lockhart Shire Council. 

This year’s list will see motivational, inspiring, successful speakers help celebrate a day of National Pride.
