Claire Foley, Bree Lyons, Tia Lyons and Ebony Warner will represent NSW Country across the girls’ divisions while Josh Surian, Hugh Jenkins, Kai Watts, Bryce Falepau, Will English, Samson Lucas, Cooper Stormonth Gareth Veitch and Jonathon Mulhearn are set to don the boys' strip.
Wagga Futsal coordinator and NSW under 15s girls coach, Sam Gray, is thrilled to see Wagga punching above its weight.
“It’s the second year in a row that we’ve hit 14 players. The standard in Wagga is getting really high and we’re still missing five players that were part of the NSW Country side last year,” Gray said.
Gray will be joined by Michael Babic, who will coach the NSW Country under 14s boys, and is taking a measured approach to the upcoming tournament in Sydney.
“We just want to make a good account of ourselves.”
