“Come to Bethlehem” is a Christmas event for all of the family, held by the West Wagga Catholic Parish in the grounds of Holy Trinity Primary School.
Father Gerard Ryan said he was pleased with the turnout and the good weather has been a blessing.
“One thing that has really stood out to me is seeing the fathers get really excited by the way the kids react to the animals,” he said.
“We are pleased that we are giving a good perspective.
“The crowds have been good and we expect between 1500 to 1700 people on Monday.”
Father Gerard Ryan said history is built around the birth of Jesus and there is so much more to the story than the classic nativity.
“To pass through the “City Gates”, visitors must complete the Roman census,” he said.
“We put it on because it’s a tradition.
“We have three little babies who represent baby Jesus and their mothers are Mary.”
Father Gerard said he wishes God’s blessing on all on families and love, joy and peace to people and good will.
Last chance to see visit Come to Bethlehem is on Monday night between 8pm and 9.30pm.
