Sizzle BBQ will offer a range of grilled hot dogs and is expected to open this Friday, December 28.
“We’re doing hot-dogs a little bit differently and everything is based on cooking fresh on the spot and as you order,” owner Bass Sadaka said.
“We offer healthy alternatives and options including falafel, eggplant and cauliflower rolls and also Middle Eastern desserts, like cakes and baklava.
“We’re bringing something different to Wagga that isn’t already there.”
Originally from Adelaide, Mr Sadaka said he has been in this industry for about 10 years and hopes to bring a little bit of Adelaide and his culture to the main street.
“We’ll be opening late Friday and Saturday nights until 4am because I’ve seen that people want a variety of foods available at night instead of a simple kebab,” he said.
“We’ll also offer a subway kebab, which will be healthier as it will include skinless chicken and will be grilled, instead of on a rotating stick.
“It’s been in the works for a while and I hope to provide discounts to taxi drivers and university students too.”
Mr Sadaka believed that an Asian restaurant was opening next door to his business.
