Kooringal High School’s principal will be leaving following the end of the school year, marking three years at the state school.

Norman Meader was appointed as the school’s relieving principal in 2016 and formally appointed as the principal at the end of Term 3 in 2017.
According to a Department of Education spokesperson, Mr Meader will be transferring to a vacancy at “another department high school”.
“The placement is part of the department’s transfer and appointment processes that is most active over the summer school vacation,” the spokesperson said.
“He will continue as principal of Kooringal High until the end of the school year.”
David Crelley is the current principal at Griffith High School who will be relieving Mr Meader as principal from Term 1 next year.
“While recruitment continues to appoint a replacement, David Crelley will relieve as principal,” the spokesperson said.
“Mr Crelley will bring a great deal of experience and expertise, having successfully led three schools.”
Tomorrow, December 19, is the last day of term for students.
