Acting Inspector Nigel Turney said there was a dispute about money at the location.
“As a result of that dispute, people have left that location and returned a short time later and forced entry into the premises where they’ve approached two female victims inside that residence,” Inspector Turney said.
“They’ve assaulted them – one of them was knocked unconscious for a short period of time.”
Police responded to the incident but the offenders left before police arrived.
Inspector Turney said the perpetrators left with cash.
“Police are now conducting inquiries in regards to those involved,” he said.
“All parties are believed to be known to each other, so it wasn’t a random attack – it was over a dispute in regards to cash.
“The police are working on it [arrests] today.”
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Wagga Police Station on 6922 2599 or Crime Stoppers NSW on 1800 333 000.
