Former Wagga cyclist Cameron Scott has gone back to back at the St Kilda Super Criterium after storming home to take the popular Melbourne sprint festival on Sunday.
Scott saw off a talented field in the men’s elite division to clinch a famous double, adding to last year’s success.
The win also complements Scott’s gold medal at the fourth round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup, which he clinched alongside Australian team mates in Germany earlier this month.
The former Golden Wheel winner also featured in Saturday’s 121st Austral Wheelrace and AU Madison Championships.
Scott’s achievement can be added to a stellar 2018 trophy cabinet also including criterium gold at the Road National Championships back in January and stage wins in the New Zealand Cycle Classic and Tour of Qinghai Lake.
