From 9am on Friday, December 14, students were able to access their ATAR on the Universities Admissions Centre website and the My UAC app.
Students are able to view their ATAR after logging into the domain, which show their list of subjects studied and their mark contributions leading to the calculation of their final rank.
According to the UAC website, the average ATAR is about 70.00 and it is the rank used by university to select school leavers for entry into university courses.
Wagga Christian College's careers adviser Jenny Azar said students can change their UAC preferences “as many times” as they like to optimize offers in each round.
“Students should be constantly checking their emails for each round of offers right up until March next year,” Mrs Azar said.
“Accept everything and then go back and pull out once you have the best option.
“Check all the dates that must be adhered to for gaining a position and if students are at a loss they should seek advice from their school careers advisers and teachers for further direction.”
Students applying for tertiary study in 2019 have until midnight on Sunday December 16 to change their course preferences for consideration in the December round two offers on December 20 2018.
Applications for university study next year first semester are open until Friday February 8, 2019.
