Coming off a win against Wagga RSL, the Saints take on Kooringal Colts in a Twenty20 on Friday night before a clash with South Wagga in a one-dayer on Saturday.
Coach Justin Ward believes both could have a real impact as the club searches for a return to finals.
“We’re keen to get these two games and try and get some wins,” Ward said.
“We definitely need them and especially Friday night is a big one for us to try and get in front of Colts or at least level terms with them ahead of the Christmas break.”
Colts are currently two points ahead of the ladder to sit in fourth place.
Ward is looking to bat out their overs to put them in the best position to win.
“The key to every game is batting your overs out,” he said.
“We did that well on the weekend and it got us some runs and if we can do that again, especially in the Twenty20.
“We have to push for good runs in that short amount of time as 20 overs isn’t that long.”
South Wagga pose a bigger challenge, but Ward believes it will show where the side is really at.
St Michaels have made one change with Nick Fahey coming in for Dan Coates.
