The five-year-old has been a source of much frustration for the Friedliebs and his trainers but connections enjoyed some success at Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
Griddlebone ($4.60) showed plenty of fighting spirit to kick back and defeat Bravado Lass by a short neck in the Crichton Cup Benchmark 58 Handicap (1800m).
