The are five new faces on the board plus a new president in Warwick Grant.
Only two of the previous executive have maintained their presence with Grant and Marty Hogan, as vice president of seniors, maintaining their presence.
Paul Spain has come into the previously vacant vice president of juniors.
Edwina Hayes failed to be returned for another season with Will Reynolds, Bart Challacombe, Tom Adamson and Brendan Reynolds the new directors.
Former president Dave Adamson and Carl King both retired after years of service while Sam Donelan didn’t stand for re-election.
Grant believes there is a good mix.
Stepping into the role with a long history in rugby administration, Grant wants to see the sport expand.
“I want to get rugby back up on its feet again, promote the juniors and women’s game and make sure we have a good strong competition down here,” Grant said.
“If we can I’d like to get a few more clubs involved with more teams.”
The return of the under 17s competition, which hasn’t been part of the competition since Wagga City won the title in 2014, is also on the agenda.
It is hoped more can be announced early next year.
Southern Inland have also changed it’s women’s competition from sevens to 10s.
Grant hopes it will allow for more meaningful involvement after the sevens competition was introduced in 2013.
“It will give a wider range of girls a crack of playing and also gives them more game time,” Grant said.
“A lot where travelling a long way and only getting 20 minutes of football and now they will get 40 minutes.”
However not everything is settled from the meeting, particularly with the draw.
A new draw, featuring three additional general byes, was discussed with clubs given extra time to give feedback.
It could see five general byes, with the majority for representative football opportunities.
The draw isn’t expected to be released until January.
There is also discussion after reducing the finals format to for a top four.
