She has raised more than $50,000 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance just by teaching Wagga’s young dancers.
Opening for a 2pm matinee and a 7:15pm showing at the Civic Theatre on December 15, this year’s show will be the school’s 51st annual event.
It originally gained momentum through a personal passion.
“We had a family friend with a daughter who had [cerebral palsy],” said the 71-year-old dance instructor.

That friend has now moved away from Wagga, Ms O’Connor has continued to use her premiere gathering to better the condition.
“It’s always been something I wanted to benefit the community. It’s about the dancers, but I always wanted it to go further.”
This year’s show will include 100 young dancers, and 30 adults performing classical ballet, tap, song’n’dance, Scottish and Irish dancing, jazz, modern, and hip hop.
