Worldwide Candle Lighting Day is an annual event organised by the Compassionate Friends to give bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents and friends chance to remember a child of any age.
The Wagga chapter’s second annual event will be held in Collins Park, from 6.30pm on Sunday, December 9, with the lighting ceremony due to begin at 7pm.
While the event is primarily for families who want a chance to commemorate their child, everyone is welcome.
More information about the ceremony itself, or about Compassionate Friends, is available from Maria Doyle on 0434 031 884 or Louise Cashell on 0408 223 211.
Ms Doyle and Ms Cashell began the Wagga chapter.
