Ganmain Public School’s Kaitlin Logan was presented with the Bernie O’Connor Award, the major primary award, while Josh Staines took out the Lorraine Wright Award for secondary students.
Staines was absent due to his duties with the ACT-NSW Country team at the under 19 national championships in Adelaide this week.
Logan, a year six student, will captain the NSW PSSA team at the national championships in Western Australia next week.
“Last year we came second, so I’m hoping we can go one better this year,” Logan said.
“It’s pretty exciting.”
Aside from her cricket exploits, Logan also plays netball, Australian rules, tennis and touch.
“It’s a lot of sport,” she said.
There were 37 students from across Riverina presented with Blues awards.
