5. Dimeday
This weekend is the 10th festival of Dimeday at the Home Taven on Saturday from 3pm and tickets will be $20 and are available at the door.
Starting in 2005 on the anniversary of Dimebag's death, Dimeday had humble origins before expanding into a festival in 2008.
2005: A few friends gathered at the Home Tavern on Thursday 8th of Decemeber for a sloppy night on the grog to commemorate the life of Dimebag.
2006: A few more friends gathered for beers and a backyard BBQ. Judging from the hazy memories, must have been big.
2007: Even more friends for a BBQ, this time two kegs were ordered. Probably the biggest night so far.
2008: A decision was made to move the night to the Bass Bar at the Home Tavern and put on a few bands and make a real night of it. Each Band was required to play at least one Pantera song in tribute to Dimebag.
The lineup includes Cowboys From Here - Pantera Tribute Band, In Malice's Wake, Envenomed, CARBON BLACK, Demonhead, Burning Beard and Nothin' to Lose.
