ACT/NSW Country proved too strong for Victoria Country as the tournament kicked off in Adelaide on Monday.
The wicketkeeper took one catch as the Victorian finished their 50 overs at 4-210.
ACT/NSW Country chased down the runs with three wickets in hand.
Staines did not bat but Hay’s Rupert Lilburne picked up a wicket in the win.
They will now face South Australia on Tuesday after the hosts scored a big win over Western Australia on day one.
The finished at 9-300 before bowling out the visitors for 122.
