Beaten by Llamas during the regular season, Wolves went agonisingly close during their major semi final last month but eventually went down in a one-point thriller.
That wasn’t the case in the big dance with Wagga Heat star Joshua McPherson leading Wolves to a 56-47 win at Bolton Park Stadium.
McPherson, who finished with 16 points, dominated early proceedings as Wolves opened up a 16-point lead at half time.
Eddie Merkel and Jacob Edwards were Llamas’ best with 19 points and 11 points respectively but it wasn’t enough as Wolves did enough to keep the buffer.
