Eloquently merging traditional brick with a fresh and sleek extension, the property on 47 Peppermint Drive, Springvale offers 180 degree views across the city and the eastern hills.
Four bedrooms, three bathrooms and five parking spots on seven acres, Wagga’s PRD Nationwide agent Ryan Smith said the home is a sophisticated haven in a premium lifestyle.
“The standout features include the Calacatta stone kitchen benches, an infinity pool and findings to the highest standard,” Mr Smith said.
“The local owners designed the home and employed an architect for the final input.”
The property was listed in 2014, which comprised solely of the brick homes, and was sold for $430,000.
The home blends soft and hard materials like timber, stone, marble and polished concrete floors that create a private indulgent oasis.
The owners converted the brick home, the ‘loft’, into a living, garage and a couple of bedrooms, with the new design morphed around it.
Mr Smith said the price of the property will likely sell over $1.5 million and while the owner did not want to disclose the cost of the Calacatta kitchen benches, they said it “probably costs more than most people’s cars.”
Wagga is seeing more indulgent homes on the market in recent weeks, which Mr Smith said was common around this time of year.
“There definitely is a market for these million-dollar homes in Wagga and we’ve seen a couple pop-up in the market recently,” he said.
“Wagga is a little different to the metro areas, in that our luxury market is very private with our buyers and they don’t wish to spill about their spending.
“It’s full-steam ahead in the festive season and it’s the best time of year between November and February as Wagga is a very transitional market and a lot of people are wanting to make the move.”
