Two weeks after long-serving president Jack Morton, vice president Ray Carr and treasurer Brian Walker failed to be re-elected to the board another member of the executive has stepped down.
Larry Collins resigned in the days following the upheaval on November 11 and now Ken Keenan has handed in his resignation.
It comes as the majority of the judiciary, who were also locked back in earlier this month, have also quit.
Keenan declined to comment when contacted by The Daily Advertiser however judiciary boss Barry Cottam said he felt the new-look board needed more fresh blood on the judiciary as well.
Cottam has spent 24 years on the judiciary but decided to follow the changing of the guard.
“After the AGM I decided with new people coming in, who knew everything, I thought it was time for me to get out as well,” Cottam said.
“The 24 years is a far time to be on the judiciary and I thought the younger people could take it on with their new ideas.”
Cottam raised concerns over the review committee which will now feature representative from each club.
As it stands only Kathy Tuckwell, who has spent the last two seasons on the executive, is the only existing member to remain.
Eight people, including the two board members and operations manager Andrew Morton, have resigned since the changes at the top of the competition.
McDermott doesn’t expect the two vacant board positions will be filled and isn’t worried about the large turnover since being ushered into the presidency.
“We are not too worried as a lot of people have decided that they just want to move on,” McDermott said.
“They’ve been there a long, long time and have looked at the enthusiasm the new board members are showing and they’ve basically said it’s probably highlighted they’ve been there a bit long and needed to move on.”
One thing McDermott wants to focus on is finding a new operations manager, with applications for the role closing on Friday.
