Keogh has made the move to Robertson Oval from Riverina League rivals Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.

Keogh, 20, is a Tigers junior and returns to the club after five seasons with the Goannas.

He made his senior debut in 2016 and played 47 first grade games for MCUE and returned 58 goals.

Tigers coach Troy Maiden is pleased to welcome Keogh back to the club.

“We’re really happy to have Will. He’s got plenty of pace, is a good ball-getter and can hit the scoreboard as well,” Maiden said.

“He can play high half-forward and also go through the middle for us.

“He’s a Tigers junior as well, so it’s good to get another Tigers junior back at the club.”

Keogh, and older brother Tom, have been in high demand from a number of Riverina, Farrer and Hume League clubs.

Tom is yet to make a decision on his plans for next season but Will is looking forward to his return to Tigers.

“It’s good to go back to my home club,” Keogh said.

“It was a hard decision to make but I wanted to play with my mates that I played juniors with and go back and chase a flag with them.

“A lot of the guys I played juniors with have now developed into senior footballers so to play with them again will be good fun.”

Keogh added that both Paul Kelly and Maiden were attractions at Tigers.

“Paul Kelly, he’s going to be doing the running, which is pretty huge,” he said.

“Pag as the coach too, he’s very professional in how he uses his structures and coaches the side. It will be good to play under him.

“They’ve done some good recruiting too.”

Keogh is the fourth player Tigers have welcomed on board over the off-season after snaring Jackson Kelly, Tom Osmotherly and Sam Ryan so far.

The departures are former coach Shaun Campbell, Campbell Lovell, Lewis Gooden and Jeff Mannell.

“It’s been good to get three Tigers juniors back in Will (Keogh), Jacko (Kelly) and Sam (Ryan),” Maiden said.

“I’m really happy with what we’ve been able to pick up so far. A couple more would be good.”

Tigers will begin pre-season training next month.

“We’ll have five runs before Christmas,” Maiden said.

“It will be a get together and work on a few things.”

Tigers have been one of the few clubs to snare a number of recruits in a quiet off-season in the Riverina League so far.

Keogh joins Matt Collins and Brent Arho as departures from MCUE. After consecutive seasons in the Riverina League at Griffith and MCUE, Arho has moved to the Gold Coast.
