The contract extension means the 21-year-old lock will remain with the Panthers until at least the end of the 2021 season after first joining the club's SG Ball squad in 2015.
Martin is yet to make his NRL debut but is in Penrith’s top 20 squad and was named on the bench in the 2018 Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team of the Year.
However Panthers executive general manager Phil Gould is confident a top grade debut isn’t far off.
"Liam hasn't played in the NRL as yet but we know he is only moments away," Gould said.
"We have no doubt this young man in a regular NRL player of the future.”
Martin was thrilled to secure more time with the club.
"I'm extremely happy and thankful to have the opportunity to re-sign at Panthers," he said.
"Moving from the country to Penrith was a challenge at first but now this place has become my second home.
"The club has always been outstanding looking after me and making sure I have everything I need to succeed.
"With the calibre of players and coaching staff here, I know this club is capable of doing something special and I want to be a part of it."
