Albury’s Ally Reid, CSU pair Biola Dawa and Ivy Merlehan, Leeton captain Kaitlyn McKay and Ag College’s Harriet Elleman and Zarah Besselin were all named in a 43-strong squad.
There were a number of former Southern Inland players selected including Claudia Obst, Kiahan Bellchambers, Jane Garraway, Sammy Maxwell and Remi Wilton.
Cuts to the squad are expected after a four-week training period.
Coach Adam Butt is pleased with the talent on display.
“The squad we have put together is really strong and with the talent we have left out it really shows the depth we had to choose from,” Butt said.
“We have some experienced players blended with new and exciting talent which will hopefully provide a strong core for the future.”
Around 85 players took part in the trials.
Southern Inland coach Andy Bedford labelled it a success despite the first Southern Inland side in over a decade losing both of their games.
Butt believes the large turnout shows the interest in the game.
“The players made selections difficult which is great thing for the game and I know there will be some disappointed players out there,” he said.
The Brumbies Super W campaign begins with a bang when they take on NSW in a double-header at Canberra Stadium prior to the Super Rugby season opener between the Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels.
