Wagga police are investigating report of a sexual assault involving a 16-year-old female overnight on Monday and Tuesday at Wagga Skate Park, Morgan Street.

Riverina Police District’s Superintendent Bob Noble said that while the investigation was in its early stage, police established a crime scene following the report.
“The victim’s come forward and made certain allegations,” Superintendent Noble said.
“We made an examination of that scene.
“We’re canvasing a number of witnesses and other forms of evidence.
“Obviously there’s a young victim, we’re first and foremost concerned for her welfare.
“It’s early days to make comments any further than that.”
