The Bolton Park club has kept a busy November schedule with nine gymnasts competing at state championships in Sydney earlier in the month.
“We had quite a few down in the level three division down at states the other week which was great,” Airborne Gymnastics manager Lyndal Appleton-Seymour said.
The state championship produced one gold, six silvers and two bronze from Wagga’s contingent in what was, for the vast majority of competitors, their first ever state championship.
That’s not the only cause for celebration with the club pulling out all the stops for a revamped club championship at their Bolton Park home last week.
Seven-year-old Zali Tozer eventually took out the level three points championship in what Appleton-Seymour deemed a “fantastic event”.
“It went really, really well and we haven’t had a club championship in a few years, so it was nice to see it go ahead,” Appleton-Seymour said.
“We didn’t quite have everyone down but I think we would have had around 28 competitors on the day.”
