Mooney belted an unbeaten 106 to help his side to a nine-wicket victory in round two of the open boys competition.
His quickfire innings came from 79 balls and featured 10 fours and four sixes.
Angus Grigg was unbeaten at the other end of 40 off 57.
They surpassed the Leeton school’s score of 153 in the start of the 25th over.
Mooney was also the pick of the bowlers finishing with 4-25 off his eight overs.
Jacob Ferguson took 3-24 off his eight while Grigg snared two wickets.
Mater Dei faces Red Bend College in the next round.
