One Agency Wagga’s residential listing, ‘The Entertainer’ on 11 Goonawarra Street, Gobbagombalin, was purchased by a metropolitan buyer for $679,000.
A young family from Sydney will be relocating to Wagga to be closer to family and friends and saw value for money.
“People out of the region like Sydney and other metropolitan areas see great value in properties for what they can purchase,” One Agency’s director Colin McGill said.
“We listed the four-bedroom and study home and it was sold in just three days.
“There’s plenty of talk of prices winding down but this represents a new residential record for Gobbagombalin, with a $679,000 asking price.”
Mr McGill said there is plenty of stock and homes on the market at this time of year.
“As we are at the end of spring and heading into summer we’re seeing new listings ahead of the December to January transition period,” he said.
“But, if it’s a good property and priced to the market it will sell, and this is a clear example.”
The one-storey home was built and owned by a local builder and features an open-plan master bedroom, with a dual entry walk-in-robe, ensuite with free-standing bath, twin showers, twin vanities and a separate toilet.
A rumpus room is located of the three other bedrooms, which create a separate living zone.
Mr McGill said Wagga is still witnessing strong demand because of the opportunities that are on offer in Wagga.
“There’s so much to offer here, with great schools, medical facilities and strong bases like the university, the RAAF and the Army Base mean Wagga has become a great hub,” he said.
One Agency’s principal Rob Fuller said there is strong inquiry in Wagga from interstate investors.
“We’re still taking a lot of inquiry from investors out of the region and interstate,” Mr Fuller said.
