The other two 17-year-old males remain in stable conditions at Wagga and Tumut hospitals.
Earlier: Three teenage males were taken to Wagga and Tumut hospitals after a car crashed southeast of Tumut on Sunday.
At about 7pm, emergency services, including a helicopter, were called to a utility vehicle that crashed on Goobarragandra Road, Lacmalac.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said one passenger was trapped while the other two freed themselves.
All three involved in the crash are 17 years old.
“It [vehicle] was completely crushed,” the spokesperson said.
“Ambulance crews got the patient out and he was breathing.
“All three had minor injuries and lacerations.”
They were taken via road to hospitals.
The car accident led to a fire that was contained by the Riverina Highland RFS crews.
“Two brigades of about 10–15 firefighters attended and left the scene around 9pm,” a NSW RFS spokesperson said.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area for up to one hour.
