Young and old residents of Wagga had an early taste of Christmas as Santa Claus and friends arrived in town today.

The event began with the arrival parade where the big, jolly man was joined by Rudolph, Mrs Claus, Frosty the Snowman, the Gingerbread Man and Poppy and Branch from the Trolls movie.
They strolled down Baylis Street greeting the large crowd before taking a whirlwind tour of Wagga Marketplace.
Eloise Honeyman, who accompanied her four-year-old niece Charlie Harmer at the event, said it was exciting to get into the Christmas spirit.
“It’s something that makes everyone happy and we’ve just got to make the most of it,” Ms Honeyman said.
Following the parade, all had the chance to visit furry cuddly friends at the animal farm in the shopping centre.
Children also had their faces painted as their favourite Christmas characters and enjoyed free fairy floss.
Following the festivities inside, attendees took some happy snaps with Santa.
