This coming Friday marks the Wagga leg of a nation-wide tour and 26 local teams have already signed on to play across the junior, open and elite divisions.
“We’ve got 14 junior teams and 12 senior teams so far – we’re (still) trying to get a few teams for the corporate cup though,” Wagga Heat skipper and event ambassador Zac Maloney said.
Team registration deadlines have been extended to Thursday evening and Maloney encouraged players and spectators alike to clear their weekend schedule.
“We’ve organised a DJ, a pop-up barber and food trucks for the weekend, so there’s plenty to do.”
The Champions League Basketball 3X3 tour kicked off in September and runs over 28 weeks in an Australia-wide festival of basketball.
Games commence this Friday, November 16, at 4pm down at Wagga Beach.
